Kazane has been acquainted with Honoka's family for years, having attended high school with Komachi Takamiya, Honoka and Kasumi's mother. Too many characters are introduced quickly late in the show and too many are introduced for too long in the beginning only to fade out of importance by the end. The final villain was especially terribly introduced, and the show made it seem like the villain was just a precursor villain for the real one except that that wasn't the case. Takamiya's power could have also used a better explanation, but I'm not sure even he knows exactly what his power is either. In the restored church, Honoka, Atori and Mikage work on a way to bring Ayaka back to life, using some of Honoka's blood and a kiss. Miraculously, Ayaka regains consciousness.

We witness Takamiya's push aside his fears to save those he cares for his love for humanity and willing to sacrifice himself if it means saving the many even if it hurts those close to him it's something most people would admire. He is introduced to this crazy world that's been secretly alongside him. He reacts as a normal human would; with uncertainty and caution, this is a breath of fresh air from the self insert Gary-stu OP isekai low tier written characters that are flooding the current manga/novel landscape that just accept what has happened without question. Evermillion uses her power to beat back Medusa, which ends up destroying most of the mansion and a large part of the school as well, angering Kazane enough to call for a Tower witch-hunt. Evermillion then reveals that all Honoka had to do was kiss Ayaka with love to wake her up, which he does. Ayaka then uses her powers to defeat Medusa and the KMM Gang (again). Later, before Chronoire can launch her evil plan, Kazane captures and then tortures her for information.

There are parts where I was confused on contracts and such, but this comes more from my dislike of reading contracts and how a contract could contradict another contract or how establishing a contract can make one null and void. Reasons why I never will be a lawyer. Though I have said that the plot is of a typical rising hero, this common story help set a pacing that was perfect. The rising hero storyline follows a rollercoaster of pacing, where it starts off slow and precedes to pick up as the main character learns new skills and eventually takes on the main antagonist. One reason why this type of storyline is slow at the start is because of the pure focus on the main character, going from a weakling to a stronger hero, the pacing reflects that. Witch Craft Works throws a wrench into that focus on the main hero as his teacher who is strong from the start helps with battles and fighting.

Though Weekend is not her real name, she uses it anyways for the notoriety it brings her. Weekend's specialty involves setting up explosives of both magic and non-magic varieties. Runs her own small faction to kidnap Honoka for his 'white stuff' as well.

Rin Kazari ( 飾 鈴, Kazari Rin) Voiced by: A soft-voiced member of Ivory Quintet, who wields a scythe. She has a power called 'Bone Animator' ( 骨使い（ボーンアニメーター）, Hone Tsukai (Bon Animeta), lit.

Ryu's improvement of her skills seeing the designs of her characters be looking way different from when they first appeared the way they look makes you say 'Yep this is something from Ryu'. She improved not just artistically but production wise. If you pay attention you can see her reuse character poses in different chapters causing her to be more consistent with her releases which always appreciated. This is a hidden diamond in the ruff and I would appreciate it if you gave it a try.
