Hello, I own a Sipura SPA 3000 with Firmward version 2.0.13(GWg) I know it's an EOL'ed model but notice echo problems with my wireless handset (some Uniden DECT with an answering machine) and see some references to bug fixes relating to echo in the SPA 3000. Probably since it's an EOL'ed model (and sipura was swallowed twice at least – by Linksys then Cisco), I can't find the firmware file anywhere.

I always meant to get around to buying an ILS but now it seems I don't need to. I have always shied away from the ATA type of solutions to use for business purposes. Well up until I installed the new firmware release I have had mixed results with this unit and have been disappointed with the PSTN quality of calls through the unit. Does this match the performance of a TDM card yet? With the new firmware it will for sure, as I use both and would now prefer the SPA to the TDM.

Factory Resetting the Sipura SPA-3000 You can reset your SPA-3000 to factory default values by doing the following: • Unplug the SPA-3000 Ethernet cable. • Use your telephone (connected to the SPA-3000) to access the voice menu (press * * * * on your telephone) • Then press 73738# on your telephone to reset the SPA-3000. Thanks for that. I actually found 3.1.10 and 3.1.20 and a version or two more in the support forums on the Cisco site, attached to messages. I just finished packing up the SPA3000 actually: I am going to send it back to the vendor and exchange it. After I noticed that you could not talk to it via **** or reset it to factory defaults I sort of lost confidence that it was actually working properly at all:-) I am going to use it to connect an eircom line to my Asterisk server and have Asterisk handle the incoming PSTN calls. I use Blueface (via IAX), and voipgain and intervoip (outgoing only, via SIP) for calls. Asterisk handles all trunking and will continue to do so when I get a working SPA3000.

Just as a small example I setup a unit overseas hanging off my Poundkey/FreePBX unit here and gave 8 people overseas access to call me or any landline in Australia and overseas if required, each person had their own pin number. In setting up the SPA3000, make sure you have a one touch tone analog phone, your NodePhone account details, and access to a standard phone port. Does it require factory reset? Alex, I did a factory reset first, then loaded the new firmware, powered it down, then powered it up again and setup. I had some issues not being able to call out via the PSTN on a TB and a test Astlinux setup I am trying out at the moment no matter what I tried it would not work, once I reflashed the new firmware and put in the same setting as before all worked well with the first go. I have since upgraded the firmware on a standalone unit which was a real thorn in my head for a few years and no echo not a bit did not have to tweak anything.
