It does all this and much more for only $200 list, and you can usually get a new one for around $150. DOD has been making pedals in the greater Salt Lake City area for nearly 30 years. Their early offerings of stomp boxes for compression, phasing, distortion, etc. Were adequate, if somewhat nondescript. However, unlike some competitors, it managed to survive the era of keyboards and big hair.

Note:The Rhythm mode must be disabled to access the Assign menus. • Section Five - Other Functions LFO 1 and LFO 2 The LFOs in the RP2000 are filters that sweep back and forth between two points at an even rate. The speed that the LFOs cycle back and forth is programmable, and there are 5 selectable wave forms for the LFOs.The waveform con- trols the abruptness of change between the minimum and maximum values. These LFOs can be assigned to Parameters and as the LFO sweeps back and forth, the assigned Parameter will continuously change values at an even rate.

• it has more amp, cabinet, and effect models, and some of these are great for harp. • the RP360XP and RP500′s onstage performance features are superior to the rest of the RP line. The RP360/360XP is Digitech’s latest amp modeler, and it definitely sounds better than any other RP–more colorful, more detailed, more ear-catching. But the RP500 is very close in terms of sound quality, with little or no audible difference most of the time, and all the same amp models, FX, and programmable parameters. The 500′s many dedicated footswitches make it better suited for live performance than the RP360/360XP, particularly if you (like us) find yourself changing tones frequently, especially in the middle of a song. If you have the space onstage and the money for an RP500, that’s what we’d go with; in fact, it’s what we do go with whenever we can. Buying used from a reputable dealer helps reduce the cost difference too.

You get dozens of “patches” (pre-configured sound setups) for your Digitech RP 150, 155, 250, 255, 350, 355, 500, 1000, or 360/360XP in both single patch and bulk load format, ready for loading into your RP via a USB connection to your computer. (Note: the RP200/200A have no USB connection, so patches have to be entered by hand; we supply a spreadsheet that contains all the settings.) These are EXACTLY the same sounds used by Richard Hunter on his recordings and performances, and they cover everything from simple reverbs and delays only to massive amped blues and rock sounds, with and without a range of ear-catching effects like vibrato, rotary speaker, and pitch-shifting. The emphasis in our patch sets is on sounds that harmonica players can use immediately in a wide range of styles, and we’ve tweaked every patch over and over to yield the maximum volume and tone without feedback. The result is a big batch of loud, bold, beautiful sounds for harp that sound at home in both traditional and very modern styles. There are amped-up Chicago blues setups, big low octave doubles that transform the harp’s sound and weight, organ-style patches with reverb and rotary speaker or vibrato FX, envelope filters and wah-wahs for tons of waka-waka fun, smooth, sweet reverbs and delays, and more, all of it immediately usable on stage and in the studio. Our latest RP500, RP1000, and RP360/360XP patch sets include 50 great patches. The RP350/355 sets includes 35 original patches, and the RP250/255 sets include 30 original patches, again laid out twice to make navigation and experimentation easier.

Okay - Based on your experience, would you choose this product again? No, I don't use it much, I'm not a big fan. That said, I use it as preamp to record on my PC and the clean sounds are rather warm, precise. It's a good preamp. Sometimes I go through the presets again and play a bit, to appreciate the different tones and effects. I needed some good effects but couldn't spend the money to go all out.

To my delight, the RP fit perfectly in the outside storage compartment of my Strat gig bag. I could run a stereo cable out of the RP into the board and hear myself completely through the group’s monitor system. I carried my gig-bagged Strat and RP with cables in one hand, and my clothes bag and guitar stand in the other! It takes three or four minutes to set up and tune the guitar (did I mention it tunes silently by depressing both footpedals?).

• Regen - Controls the throaty quality of the YahYah™. Ranges from 0 to 99. YahYah (YahYah™) The YahYah™ is another effect exclusive to DigiTech products. Like the AutoYah™, it combines the characteristics of a wah and a flanger together providing a unique talk box type of effect, but is controlled by the Expression Pedal. The YahYah™. • Section Three - Effects and Parameters Envlop (Envelope Filter) The Envelope Filter is an automatic Wah.The Envelope alters your sound based upon how hard you play.

DOD did have the services of one Michael Dowdle, a tremendous guitar player with an ear for tone who offered his input. The company began their Digitech line as pro sound oriented pieces in the ’80s. Since that time, they have been producing rack gear for guitarists like the GSP-2100, which included sounds programmed by some of the biggest names in guitardom. The RP series has been around since the early ’90s.

Digitech’s devices are pretty feature-specific, and there’s no automated way to convert from the RP150/155/250/255/350/355/500/1000 to other devices they offer. It is possible to convert patches from one of these devices to another, by hand or by using Digitech’s utility program, but there are three good reasons not to: 1) It’s a violation of your license to use the patches, which is specific to the device you ordered the patches for. 2) You won’t get your year of free updates for the other device, so you’ll have to do conversions every time we send out a patch update. Dragon ball z episodes english 1. 3) There is no way to do an automated bulk load conversion from one device to another, so you’ve got to do the conversion patch by patch, which takes lots of time. If you’d like to do a crossgrade from one device to another, contact us. Q: What styles of music will this patch set work for?

• Gate Type - The Parameter 2 knob selects between the Silencer ™ Noise Gate, or the Auto Swell volume swell effect.Values include: Gat Of (Turns the Noise Gate off), silNCR (Selects the Silencer™ Noise Gate) and swEl1 through swEl9 (Selects the Auto Swell volume swell effect. • Effects The Effects row in the RP200 is a multi-function module, allowing you to select effects such as; Chorus, Flanger, Phaser,Tremolo, Panner,Vibrato, Rotary Speaker,YaYa™, AutoYa™, SynthTalk™, Envelope Filter (auto wah), Detune, Pitch Shift, and Whammy™ effects. When the Effects row is selected, the Parameter 1 knob is used to choose the type of Effect or turn the Effect module off (eff Of). • Phaser (PHaseR) A phaser splits the incoming signal, and then changes the phasing of the signal. This signal is then taken in and out of phase and mixed back in with the original signal. As the phasing changes, different frequencies get canceled resulting in a warm sort of twisting sound. Amount - The Parameter 2 knob simultaneously adjusts the rate (Speed) and intensity (Depth) of the Effect.

B:It was gonna be cheap. If you're in need of a processor, these things are all over eBay.

My expression pedal does not seem to respond correctly. What can I do?

How do I reset and calibrate the pedal on the RP200? Put the expression pedal in the 1/2 way position. Press and hold the Select button. Appears in the display, let go of Select and press/release the Store button The display should say Reset. When the display reads Toe DN, put the expression pedal down like stepping on the gas pedal of a car. Press and release either the Up or the Down footswtch.

Pressing both Footswitches together will bypass the currently selected Preset. Pressing and holding both Footswitches will access the Tuner. Store - The Store button is used to save your custom edits to the user Presets. Expression Pedal - The Expression Pedal adjusts RP200’s Volume or the assigned Effect Parameter in real time.

- Is it possible to edit them? With a Mac/PC editor? Yes, they can be edited, but there's no digital interface (actually, there is one, but it's pretty old). - What connections does it provide? (Audio/MIDI) Not much: One input, 2 outputs for a stereo effect, a headphone output and a jam-along input. USE - Is it easy to make settings?

We’ve used our RP255 on gigs and in the studio with fine results; we actually recorded harp tracks for the BBC’s big-budget series “Copper” with our RP255. Digitech RP255 If money or space onstage is REALLY tight, we recommend an RP150 or 155.

Like the AutoYa™, it combines the characteristics of a wah and a flanger together providing a unique talk box type of effect, but is controlled by the Expression Pedal. • Level - The Parameter 3 knob controls the mix level of the AutoYa™. Ranges from 0 to 99. SynthTalk™ (syNtLK) SynthTalk™ is another effect exclusive to DigiTech. It makes your guitar seem to be speaking based upon the attack or how hard you strike the strings. • Detune (DetUNe) A Detuner will make a copy of your incoming signal, take the copied signal slightly out of tune from the original, and mix the two signals together. The result is a doubling type of effect as if two guitars were playing the same part together. Amount - The Parameter 2 knob adjusts the amount of pitch difference applied to the copied signal.

Be very patient. If the switch doesn't always co-operate, I've found that just one very small piece of electical tape increases the contact area from the pedal just enough to clear it up most of the time. If the flimsy window gets damaged where you view your selections, cut out the old one and use a piece of window tinting (heavy mil) to replace it.

Except for the GT3 from the same generation, few multi-FX are so interesting, and certainly no product in this price range can compete with it. This product is very attractive but you'll need time to get to know it. The value for money is exceptional nowadays and perhaps a better preamp tube (like an Electro-Harmonix) could add more warmth and punch to the sound. I would surely buy it again, even if I'm considering getting rid of it to get an RP 14, 20 or 21D because they simulate famous amps. You can do lots of effects with this pedal. With the tube, the sounds are much better. USE This pedal isn't easy to use.

Each parameter is adjustable in at least two ways and the RP then lets you save the edited tone in one of 40 user presets. DOD provides another 40, giving you a total of 80 sounds in a package 81/2″ long, 10″ wide, and 21/4″ deep. When I began contemplating tossing the amp for a modeling processor, I asked around about several units. The POD requires a footswitch that adds another $200 to the price of a $300 unit.
