Oasis with American Express FYI. Amex cancelled the Oasis Optima card for. One u graduate from the program, all the new cards from amex get your orig. If you’re facing a legitimate financial hardship and can’t make the minimum payments on your American Express credit card one. I was on a program with them. So I'll be paying an old charge off on my AMEX Gold Card, and applying for the Optima with a CL of $700. Can anyone share their info/experiences with the AMEX Optima Oasis card? Can anyone share their info/experiences with the AMEX Optima Oasis card? The American Express Optima Card. You can't find information on the American Express web site about the Oasis repayment program or the Optima card.

Has been the prestigious credit card of choice for the past few decades and the American Express Optima Credit Card is no exception. For years, American Express was known as a charge card – which meant that any amount borrowed from the card needed to be paid in full at the end of the monthly billing period. Credit cards, which allowed a user to have a revolving balance month after month, was a fairly new concept for American Express when the Optima credit card came out in 1987. Currently, the American Express Optima Credit Card no longer accepts new applications unless they are being specifically offered to certain members and it might not come as a surprise in the near future if they are closed altogether and moved into newer, different cards. Founded in 1850, American Express is best associated with offering traveler’s cheques, credit cards and the famous charge card.

Thanks to this board, I have learned a lot and cleaned up my credit pretty good, and I would like to keep going and get ready to buy a house and a brand new car within a year or so.Thanks guys, and let the comments pour down like rain.1) I hear that the Oasis program is a good deal, but don't have any experience to comment.5) You might see a bump in scores with that repo deletion; certainly you apping odds would likely improve.6) Verizon. Is it reporting now or is the CA reporting (DRS)? Chances are Verizon is the one still reporting. Sending PFDs over and over may not work. If the CA is reporting, I'd do the DV first to make them prove that you owe the debt, then I'd PFD over and over and over and over and over and over and over until they get sick of you. Calling Verizon directly might work too.Try posting the Verizon question over in the General Credit Discussion forum.you'll get more answers.

The Optima card isn't doing anything for you otherwise! So after taking care of an old AMEX and getting onboard with the Oasis program - The card was on the way.Today I noticed that on 'application status' it had 'declined' on the Optima - which is a sure thing, guaranteed with a limit of 1/2 the original debt - so only 500 CL. Even the nice lady called me last week to make sure I got my paperwork and sent it back. While waiting for this Optima paperwork to arrive/sign/return - I went online a few weeks ago and got myself a shiny new Delta Sky Miles 2k. Woo hoo. Then last night, after activating the Delta and converting it to Blue Cash, I went online to get the Clear. Pending it said -.so I thought oh great. Gross beat vst crack mac.

I don’t know who told you that getting a new card would remove old information from your report, but I would be surprised if anyone at American Express told you this or agreed to it. Be wary — there is a lot of bogus information online on what can or cannot be done in terms of credit improvement. What I recommend is that you speak first with a mortgage broker to find out what would be required in order for you to qualify for a mortgage. ( December 12, 2015 ) Another familiar story, so here goes: AMEX customer the last ten years, payments always in full, on time the last 9 yearsthis last year it’s been payments on time, but instead just the minimum(my business took a nose dive with the California drought and mandatory 36% water reductions).

Can you give me some input re: debt settlement programs? I talked to a couple of agencies. They say I have to stop paying all creditors, and they give me payment/payoff plans that will get me out of debt within 4 years tops. The options they offer include a more conservative route of essentially consolidating (they acquire lower percentage rates from each creditor), and is not as damaging to credit scores (I’m not too concerned about that right now); the other option is their negotiating a lower payoff, and credit rating is harshly affected. I apologize for not recalling the exact details of these options, but it IS tempting to go with one of these routes–it would mean lousy credit rating, but debts are resolved just shy of my retirement age. (I have nothing set aside or accruing for that event either.) •. ( September 13, 2014 ) Sandy, anyone quoting a 4-year settlement program is pitching a scam, as far as I’m concerned.

The only workaroudn is to reapply for a new card. So, I did an app over the phone for the Amex Blue. The result - I was declined because I have an 'open, active recovery product'. I called in to explain my situation and asked for a recon.

In the Oasis Program you must settle in full your debt to american express. They will issue a new card with the same credit limit as the one you had before. I believe you cant get a credit line increase on that card.

Depending on credit scores, some of the American Express cards aren’t offered to anyone with less than stellar credit ratings – which is another reason why American Express has long been considered the exclusive, prestigious card, since not everyone could get it. One of the primary benefits of the American Express Optima Credit Card is that any cardholder who has it does not pay an annual fee to belong to the Program. What makes this so special? Today, all of the cards that belong to this program require an annual fee – so anyone who has an American Express Optima Credit Card can count himself or herself lucky for reaping the rewards without paying the annual fee. Of course, if paying an annual fee is not ideal there are plenty of competitor credit cards through Visa and MasterCard that provide a range of rewards and benefits without an annual fee. Taking time to compare options and benefits is always an essential part of selecting the right credit card.
